As The Peach continues to grow, I’m realizing a shift in myself. My definition of success has changed so much from the original “plan” I had for The Peach.

When I started this little biz it was simply to get me out of the craziness of Atlanta traffic and help put food on the table for our little family of three. A handful of clients and a laptop computer was all it took for me to make the leap from the Marketing Director title I once held. It was the scariest thing I've ever done, but it felt amazing!

The market is saturated with people who provide services similar to yours or products that are almost the same. As a customer, it’s often hard to decide which source or provider is the best bet. Although it would be amazing to have folks say “here, take all my money and do whatever it is you do…” but that doesn’t happen. You have to prove to potential clients that you are an expert before they will shell out the cash.

Ever heard of Esom Hill, Georgia? If you take a minute and Google “Esom Hill, GA” you’ll find quite a few articles about the seedy underbelly of the town. It sounds like a place you don’t want to break down in… a place you don’t want to deliberately drive nearly 2 hours to reach, get out of the car and explore…that is, unless your ancestors helped build the town and are buried there.

I bet you couldn’t guess that I’m a “take charge” kinda gal (stop laughing…). During the craziness known as quarter 2, I was spread thin and in desperate need of some hands-on help. I needed someone who could swoop in, take the load of social media management off of my hands and run with it.

A few weeks ago I stopped into the local Sherwin Williams with my favorite sidekick, Wyatt. Our job was to find the perfect paint color to change up our house. We wanted a neutral that wouldn't be too beige or to gray. Enter said color, “perfect griege” (no lie, that's the color name.)
